Bailey’s next speech

It’s weird how a universal society with no barriers at all between individuals can be so easily twisted. The Circle is just going about it in the opposite direction, homogenizing people from individuals by erasing everything that allows space for individuality, rather than chemically lobotomizing the general populace.

One Response to Bailey’s next speech

  1. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Kurt Wimmer’s Equilibrium (2002), which doesn’t even try to hide the fact that it is simply an early 21st c. updating of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 (1953). But you’re right. This is really quite different than how the Circle is working. (You also might like Francois Truffaut’s 1966 adaptation of Bradbury’s novel.)
